Weiland kombiniert in diesem Zyklus gemalte Schnappschüsse, Urlaubsfotos und gestellte Szenen mit der morbiden Ästhetik von Plakatwänden. Ins Zentrum drängen sich immer wieder sozialistische – kommunistische Inhalte, so taucht auch immer wieder der fünfzackige Stern auf, welcher dem Zyklus seinen Namen gab.

In that painting cycle Weiland combines painted snap shots, holiday photographs and produced scenes with the morbid aesthetics of billboards. Continually socialistic and communistic values are pressing forward into the foreground, likewise the five pointed star is in every painting appearing, which gave his name to the cycle.
